My love affair with essential oils began over 10 years ago. The minute I opened my first bottle I was hooked. I immersed myself in essential oil education – took training courses, became certified through the Aromatherapy Education Institute, taught educational classes, and sold essential oils. I absolutely loved it.
Unfortunately, the company from whom I was obtaining my oils discontinued offering them only a couple of years later. I stocked up on as many oils as I could and have continued using essential oils my own life nearly daily – they are my medicine, as well as emotional stabilizers. But I stopped educating others about the oils because, although I had looked, I hadn’t found a line of oils that I felt confident in recommending to others (or use myself).
In 2011 I was introduced to a new line of certified therapeutic grade essential oils that simply blew me away. So pure that they actually can recommend internal use (which is not safe with most essential oils on the market because they have impurities or additives). I was surprised how quickly my passion returned, and I decided to affiliate with the company to begin educating the public and offering these beautiful essential oils.
The company is called doTERRA (latin for gift of the earth).
